Walmart’s shareholding in Flipkart is likely to rise to around 80%, strengthening its ownership of the Indian ecommerce firm, as cofounder Binny Bansal and other minority investors sell more shares to the Bentonville, US-based retailer, according to regulatory filings in Singapore, accessed by ET.

The commerce and industry ministry has invited executives of ecommerce firms including online marketplaces, food-delivery companies, logistics and quick commerce platforms for consultations before finalising its much-awaited National Ecommerce Policy, several people aware of the matter told ET.

The Niti Aayog has proposed royalties and tax benefits, production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes and other measures to support the processing and refining of critical minerals used in lithium-ion batteries as part of efforts aimed at promoting electric vehicles and meeting net-zero goals.
